There were two of these deck chairs on the boat when purchased.
Noticing the cushions were a bit heavy and "soggy", the upholstery was
removed, revealing the plywood was all rotten and cushions all water-logged.
The existing cushions were taken to a local upholstery shop to have new
cushions fabricated. New plywood was cut and covered with fiberglass
resin to prevent moisture contamination. The covers were still in decent
shape, so those were reinstalled with new stainless steel staples. With
the refurbished cushions fastened back on the frames, these chairs will
provide quality lounging enjoyment on deck for a long time to come.
